Opened in May 2021, City Center Park comes with a variety of amenities. Two shelters, playground, splash pad, half-court basketball, pitching wall, tennis practice wall, two pickleball courts, concession stand, and restrooms. Fredericks Landing is located along the Licking River in Wilder, Kentucky and is open year-round. Originally constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1965, in 2004 the Federal Government transferred ownership of the land to the city through the Federal Parks to Land Program. The city continues to add to and make improvements to the park each year. Frederick’s Landing offers a boat launch for kayaking and canoeing, playground, shelter, and plenty of parking. The park also has several picnic tables and benches to sit and enjoy the river. The shelter building is available to rent. For more information call 859-581-8884. The park does require a pass for parking. You may purchase your parking passes at the city building located at 520 Licking Pike Wilder, KY 41071. Cost for passes are as follows: yearly auto $10.00, yearly auto/boat $50.00, daily auto $2.00, daily auto/boat $10.00.
