The Powerball jackpot has climbed to nearly $1 billion after no one won the top prize Wednesday night — but at least one person in New York state is $1 million richer.
The winning numbers in last night’s $856 million Powerball drawing were 01-07-46-47-63, Powerball: 07, Power Play: 3X. Double Play Winning Numbers were 10-25-51-52-63, Powerball: 01. (Note: Double Play is an add-on feature in 14 states and not currently available in New York.)
No tickets matched all six numbers, bumping the jackpot up to at least $925 million for the next drawing on Saturday; the lump sum cash value would be $432.4 million before taxes. It’s the fourth biggest prize in Powerball history and the one of the 10 largest U.S. lottery jackpots of all time.
Four lottery tickets worth $1 million were sold in California, Kansas, Maryland and New York. The $1M ticket in New York was sold in Queens at 37th Ave. Grocery Inc. 82-06 37th Ave, Jackson Heights.

Powerball players can win $1 million by matching all five white numbers. Four such tickets sold were sold in California, Kansas, Maryland and New York.
Third prize: $50,000
3 tickets in New York matched four numbers + the Powerball for a $50,000 prize.
Fourth & fifth prizes: $100
85 tickets in NY matched four of five numbers for a $100 prize. Another 208 tickets matched three numbers + Powerball for a $100 prize.
Sixth & seventh prizes: $7
4,870 tickets in NY matched three of five numbers for a $7 prize. Another 4,776 tickets matched two numbers + Powerball for $7.
Eighth & ninth prizes: $4
36,160 tickets in NY matched one number + Powerball for a $4 prize. Another 84,841 tickets got the Powerball only for a $4 prize.

Power Play second prize: $2 million
To participate in Power Play, an additional $1 must be paid at the time of buying a Powerball ticket. The Power Play for Monday’s drawing was x3, tripling most smaller prizes won. No tickets won the second Power Play prize of $2 million.
Power Play third prize: $150,000
No tickets sold in New York won the third Power Play prize of $150,000.
Power Play fourth and fifth prizes: $300
8 Power Play tickets in NY matched four of five numbers for a $300 prize. Another 30 Power Play tickets matched three numbers + Powerball for a $300 prize.
Power Play sixth & seventh prizes: $21
611 tickets in NY matched three of five numbers for a $21 prize. Another 650 tickets matched two numbers + Powerball for $21.
Power Play eighth & ninth prizes: $12

Jackpot winners can choose to receive 30 annual payments, each five percent higher than the last, or a lump-sum payment.
Next drawing
The next drawing of winning numbers that could make a lucky winner fabulously wealthy will be Saturday, Sept. 30, at 10:59 p.m. The Powerball jackpot will be at least $920 million.
Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Tickets are $2 each, and sales stop 59 minutes before the drawing, but may end earlier in some states.
